Kenneth (Kenny) Marshall, Retail Services Executive
Kenny joined WRA in May of 2009 after amassing broad professional background in several fields including higher education, sales, real estate, fundraising, public relations, social services, training and consulting in catering and the restaurant business.
He launched his sales career in Tacoma with I.B.M., then proceeded to develop a sales training program for a Puyallup land management company. In the early 1980s, he moved to Portland, where he opened a marketing and sales consulting and training company. He later became development director of a Portland social service agency that provided housing assistance, health care, energy assistance and senior citizen services.
Kenny then moved to Olympia, where he worked as a chef at Evergreen State College. For the past six years, he served as membership manager for the Association of Washington Business and as an area coordinator for the Washington Restaurant Association.
Kenny is an avid cook who specializes in barbecue dishes. Born in Paducah, Ky., he was salutatorian of his high school graduating class, has served on several regional higher education advisory boards and served as a consultant to the Office of Education, U.S. Department of Health, Education and Welfare. He is a graduate of Linfield College in McMinnville, Oregon where he earned a degree in math and business administration.
At WRA, Kenny is growing membership through the association’s health care and retrospective rating programs.
