Nancy Barnes specializes in bringing workers back to work and resolution of claim issues that result in both a timely and cost efficient claim closure. She has over 40 years of experience in Workers Compensation Claims management. Her many years of first hand experience led to her proficiency in claim validity, medical management, claim investigation, compensation entitlement, benefit calculation, return-to-work coordination, and finally claim resolution. Nancy retired from Washington state Department of Labor & Industries (L & I) where she worked as a Claims Unit Supervisor for 17 years. Nancy was also an L & I Claims Management trainer for 5 years.
Nancy has a tremendous knowledge of the laws that govern Worker’s Compensation and a keen insider’s understanding of L&I policies and procedures. She demonstrates her skills and service to Retro members when working with L&I staff, medical providers and vocational counselors.
